hdc312 on a gp3000d-pro

Ok, I have a 97 dakota and i'm running A Treo 1500.1 throwing 3kw+ to my 15" BTL. My stock alt is 130amps and I have a yellow top under the hood, and a NSB100ft in the back. I also have the big 3 done in 2/0. I Still get voltage drops when I play full tilt so something is obviously screwed up somewhere. First off pull your sub out of the box and make sure it is wired like this:

and I would also set your gain with the head unit volume on about 55/62. I've heard the pioneers actually wont clip until 61/62.

what in the flying ****?
you measure 1 pair of leads and get 2 ohms right?

you measure the other leads and get 2 ohms right?

and when you wire in parallel you get 2 ohms also?
i have never measured 1 pair or leads. i have only measured them when there are wired parallel, and yes it reads 2.0 then will fall to 1.9 a minute later...

so ive been gone for the past week and i really really dont feel like reading the past 5 pages.

whatd i miss guys?

and yes set your HU volume at like 75%-80% before setting the amp gain

ok well so far i have re-set my gains with the volume at 56/62. and now the gain is below half way up. and shit gets loud. i was playing that young buck song pocket full of paper and im pretty sure i heard some bottoming out. then i drastically changed my ssf to about 32ish hz. pretty sure that fixed it. but then i was playing unk-back it up, and shit was soo loud. and it was just perfect for that box. and i was metering the voltage at the amps terminals and it was dropping to 13.0 on the unk song, and the buck song... and the amp was getting warm, not hot or anything, but warm. i still am wondering why my dmm reads 2.0ohms with i test the wires coming from my box wired at paralell.. shouldnt i be much closer to 1 ohm?? because if it is only getting 2.0 ohms, then there is more room for more power if i can get it lower, or get the d1. any thoughts???

well measure 1 pair of leads. cause you said it was a dual 2 ohm sub right? meaning you couldnt wire it up to 2 ohms.

yes it bottoms out quite easily on that song if you're tuned too high. i could bottom it out with not much power at all. gotta be careful with that shit lol

ignoreme, when you hook your dmm up to your speakers terminal wires (after wired in parallel) what does it read? or is yours wired in series to get 2ohm?

so why is mine reading closer to yours? and i have d2 and wired parallel.... i gotta pull that thing out and test both sides.. maybe just re-due the wiring altogether. oh well shit is loud
