copper.... my copper coiled HDC315 handled 3Kw~ daily and 6Kw~ burps for months before I took it out. Didn't have any issues with it at all, just planned to do an 18" until I realized an 18" wouldn't fit LOL... I miss my AQ

not clamped lulz. run the aq2200d at .5 on the copper and youll be happy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif id run a bigger than 3.5 cubft box too. try at least 4 and run a 6 " aero if u cant get the cubes with a slot.

is it safe to run the AQ2200 at .5ohm daily?

and im making a new box 4.23 cubic foot tuned to about 37 hz (35 acording to re calculator)

is it ok to run the AQ1200d at .5ohm or should i just wire it to 2 ohm?

what does everyone think of this sub? sound quality wise is it desent or is it horrible?

they sound good to me. i ran my 3500's at .5 daily fine. just have the electrical to back up the 2200. if you can try a 4.5 cube box tuned around 36 after disp. itll pound rap and get loud. ive never meteresd anywhere but the headrest but if u do sub up port back it would be doing a 45 or better witht he right settings.

also a 1200 at 2 ohm wont make the hdc3 do anything.

I'd get the aluminum regardless of power, only because I prefer the aluminum suspension over the copper.

Dude, its a good sub, better than most. Can be compared to the best daily subs. Copper coils are fine for your setup trust me. It will not handle 3k clamped with coppers though.

It will be loud, you will be happy. Now quit posting and start ordering!!!

also you will be lucky to get 1800 or so clamped running at .5 after rise with that amp. we clmaped my friends around 1200 rms wired at 1 ohm.

interested to see what people say here, I just ordered one with the copper coils with pretty much the same plan as you. my box is a bit bigger tho
