Hdc3 Port Area(Using Aero Ports)

2 6" ports for an 18" is fine for daily. If you want SPL you can always do 3 tuned higher and plug one for daily.
So would a single 10" work like 3 6s because i found a guy who can make me one pretty cheap and flare it. Also i know the 1 10 roughly equals 3 6s

two six inch aeros would not be enough for sure. the least i would do is one ten inch. three sixes would be better.
but isnt a single port more efficient then multiples. thats what i have always been told by box builders. i mean 3 6's and 1 10" roughly equal the same, they are 4 sq inches of port apart

3 sixes = 851 ten= 79

so yes not much of a difference and one port is definitely easier than three. i would do the one ten. unless you wanna do four sixes!
na i dont want to do 4 6's. they are a bit pricey lol... i can get a 10" made or make it myself, way cheaper then i can buy another 6" flare. lol. plus huge ports look cool lol

sounds good. i remember how picky my hdc3s were. i tried more boxes and ports than any other sub ive ever owned on those things. but once you get it right they get loud!

i mean before when i ran a hdc3 18 i got pretty good numbers out of what i had. my best average 145.xxdb. the org i compete in is a 3 round music average(kick, dash, headreast) my bests were kick-147.6db, dash-146.4db, seat-145.5db. these are just my best scores at diff mic placements. which to me wasnt bad considering my electrical was stock, i had 4 gauge wire and no big 3, with 1 18 hdc3 and planet audio bb2400.1 thats was refurbed and probly doing like 600 rms lol. so i was pretty happy with that lol.

lol, yeah thats not bad! good luck let us know how it turns out.

yes, a single port would be far more ideal with multiple ports assuming you can make that happen with in your build.
Yea it can be done.... I mean i know i need more port then just 2 6s. For daily it works but comps i want to try a single 10 and see how that goes
