HDC3 fail

Well they will put the Z parts on F motors, I know a few Street guys who have had it done but what it comes down to is its still the same WW coil and no matter how good DD is they cant change the physical properties of aluminum, its weight will remain the same. The only conclusions I could run to is former changed but even then is former weight enough to effect a .3-.5 db change on direct drop in to a DD F? Sure seemed to work that way for CRX I know.
I can tell you for a fact that the former and coil windings themselves are completely different, along with the spiders. Now this is just comparing 9500 parts, but I'm sure this could have carried over to Z's as well. I can even take some pics of the parts side by side and on a scale if you like.

Right when I took my new recones out of the box I could tell that they were significantly lighter.

I know you said I dont know how to have fun in the sport but dude, think about it the building, the experimenting, the adjustmenets and adapations, thats the real fun
No Matt, that's the fun FOR YOU. And for the record, Mike doesn't do everything. He may build the majority of the boxes, but that is mostly for the fact that not everyone has the tool/ time to do it them selves. You have to remember that most in Chicago don't have garages to keep those tools and/ or do the work in.

They used Funky Pup technology -- I knew it !

Odd everytime I make a good point you seem to say something even more dumb then the last time.
So lets get some cliffs...

I explain how AQ could save costs and make a better subwoofer by elimate cooling channels that just **** with flux modulation... Proof? You tell me I have a personal vendetta against them

I explain how there is poor craftsmanship in the models I have worked with and show proof,Again, where is the proof? You said you have only seen two HDC motors and only showed a pic of one. So out of the thousands of subs they have produced, one sub is "bad". How long did that "bad" sub work for? Why did it blow? What was the set up it was used in when it blew? you tell me I am trying to bring down the company

You tell me I dont know how to have fun in the sport, then I tell you the fun is in building, tell you to try it for once instead of paying MIke to build for you, Different people find joy in different things. Some people enjoy building, tuning, wiring, whatever. Some just enjoy doing demos and hanging out with their friends at a show. To each their own. you have nothing to say

Mike says I never competed this past year yet my name sure shows up alot on termpro and I posted a pic of him next to me and tommy k,I'm in that pic too. I remember seeing your truck outside all day. Don't ever remember seeing it in the lanes. All I remember seeing you do is put mics in and out of cars all day. he had nothing to say

You say your not for numbers, yet I point out you set goals and then show them off on facebook as your avatar, So just because he hits a good number he can't be proud? I think you're missing the point. He doesn't spend countless hours trying to hit numbers. That is the main difference between him and a real competitor. you have nothing to say

enlighten me
There ya go.

There ya go.
I competed in the lanes, its on termpro... you cant say I made that up too. When im not competing im helping with mics, setup/takedown, and other peoples systems. I helped a few people tune in amps, helped rewire or wire peoples stuff down when they needed a hand.

Your right people do find different joys in things, but to say I dont know what joy is in the hobby when he hasnt even tried to be in the hobby... well to me thats not right.

Your right im only 2 for 2 on HDC motors flawed and the only person I know running AQ besides DOA has had numerous amp issue. I never said all their products were bad, i loved their HDs and im sure tons of their HDCs came out good. Maybe its just me being unlucky but if I see an error in work like this, am I not entitled the freedom of speech to point it out?

I lived in chicago I understand not everyone has a garage, I didnt. But nor did I have one or tools the past four years while I was getting my degree, just a storage garage with no heat. Which was not workable in. I have paid shops for their time, I have used peoples equipment, I learned and busted my *** to get systems built.

Is it fine that Alex does it his way, of course. But he told me numbers dont mean **** to him, yet he set a goal and got to it, then showed it off on facebook as his avatar. Nothing wrong with reaching it, its a good number but dont say its not competitive, thats a line a loser would use and he hasnt even lost.

and to tommy:

There was no visible difference in WW from the DD F to the DD Z, maybe a few mm? but that couldn't really be the difference like you said though im sure its a completely different former, im just surprised it still made that much of a difference thats all. Just curious have you tried Z softparts in you F motor? Just after seeing how well the direct drops were in, im surprised more people dont.

you are a punk and i dont remember talking much **** on facebook! Once again i wont waste my time on a forum but you can count on me calling you out on this at a show! The line has been crossed and i will f@ck you up.
Lol talking **** on facebook is a real cool thing to do, and before you deny it i already read it.

Only ******* talk **** on facebook lol.

Not yet, but that's on my list of things to try. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Whats the big difference between 9500 and Z parts? Aluminum coil and anything else?

and you are????? oh ya A NOBODY! Did i joke around YES did i spend a day or even an hour talking **** NO So **** off stay out of something you know nothing about ok //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Wish I knew I was just going off what I watched in a garage, but direct swap from DD F 10s to DD F 10s, same impedance and everything. Was a .3-.5db gain consistently time and time again. Left me scratching my head, guess I had thought most all of it would be in the Z motor. I mean it has so much gaussian strength, youd think moving mass would be a little concern but their is definatly a large change in weight. Id be interested to see if it fairs the same with you. Let me know if/when ya try it.

I competed in the lanes, its on termpro... you cant say I made that up too. When im not competing im helping with mics, setup/takedown, and other peoples systems. I helped a few people tune in amps, helped rewire or wire peoples stuff down when they needed a hand. Like I said I, me, myself never saw your truck in the lanes. If you did compete I didn't see it. Doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Your right people do find different joys in things, but to say I dont know what joy is in the hobby when he hasnt even tried to be in the hobby... well to me thats not right. When did I say that? Again, I think your missing the point. He does what is fun to HIM. And please, define what it means to "be in the hobby". From what I can derive for your arguments it means spending countless hours testing and tuning.

Your right im only 2 for 2 on HDC motors flawed and the only person I know running AQ besides DOA has had numerous amp issue. I never said all their products were bad, i loved their HDs and im sure tons of their HDCs came out good. Maybe its just me being unlucky but if I see an error in work like this, am I not entitled the freedom of speech to point it out?You never answered the questions about the specific motor in question. Why did it fail and what was the system? I will admit, the top plate was drilled "wrong". And really, other than aestetics, what difference does the excess glue make? It does look like crap but there is a boot covering it.

I lived in chicago I understand not everyone has a garage, I didnt. But nor did I have one or tools the past four years while I was getting my degree, just a storage garage with no heat. Which was not workable in. I have paid shops for their time, I have used peoples equipment, I learned and busted my *** to get systems built.Ok? So how is that different than what anyone else is doing? Mike is the shop being rented out. I have seen almost everyone on DOA do something to their car. Alex included. I've also worked on some of their sh!tboxes.

Is it fine that Alex does it his way, of course. But he told me numbers dont mean **** to him, yet he set a PERSONAL goal and got to it, then showed it off on facebook as his avatar. Nothing wrong with reaching it, its a good number but dont say its not competitive, thats a line a loser would use and he hasnt even lost. He didn't set that goal for anyone but himself. I see nothing wrong with that. Hitting a 155 is an accomplishment. More power to him.
I'm more than willing to debate anything you'd like. No personal attacks or anything from me. But you have yet to answer my questions with any logical or debatable responses.
