I competed in the lanes, its on termpro... you cant say I made that up too. When im not competing im helping with mics, setup/takedown, and other peoples systems. I helped a few people tune in amps, helped rewire or wire peoples stuff down when they needed a hand. Like I said I, me, myself never saw your truck in the lanes. If you did compete I didn't see it. Doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Your right people do find different joys in things, but to say I dont know what joy is in the hobby when he hasnt even tried to be in the hobby... well to me thats not right. When did I say that? Again, I think your missing the point. He does what is fun to HIM. And please, define what it means to "be in the hobby". From what I can derive for your arguments it means spending countless hours testing and tuning.
Your right im only 2 for 2 on HDC motors flawed and the only person I know running AQ besides DOA has had numerous amp issue. I never said all their products were bad, i loved their HDs and im sure tons of their HDCs came out good. Maybe its just me being unlucky but if I see an error in work like this, am I not entitled the freedom of speech to point it out?You never answered the questions about the specific motor in question. Why did it fail and what was the system? I will admit, the top plate was drilled "wrong". And really, other than aestetics, what difference does the excess glue make? It does look like crap but there is a boot covering it.
I lived in chicago I understand not everyone has a garage, I didnt. But nor did I have one or tools the past four years while I was getting my degree, just a storage garage with no heat. Which was not workable in. I have paid shops for their time, I have used peoples equipment, I learned and busted my *** to get systems built.Ok? So how is that different than what anyone else is doing? Mike is the shop being rented out. I have seen almost everyone on DOA do something to their car. Alex included. I've also worked on some of their sh!tboxes.
Is it fine that Alex does it his way, of course. But he told me numbers dont mean **** to him, yet he set a PERSONAL goal and got to it, then showed it off on facebook as his avatar. Nothing wrong with reaching it, its a good number but dont say its not competitive, thats a line a loser would use and he hasnt even lost. He didn't set that goal for anyone but himself. I see nothing wrong with that. Hitting a 155 is an accomplishment. More power to him.
