I got no problem learning anything. I would not be where I am in the workforce just letting others do for me. When it comes to car audio I just don't care. I can pretty much do everything but make boxes and custom work. But this is not to me what it is for others. To me it's a car stereo. Anything other than that I leave up to the competitors, nut huggers, etc.

If Matt has written something to benefit you and your setup, that's super swell. But you're fairly new to me and don't realize what he's trying to accomplish with his anti Aq threads and posts. It gies back to his 15 challenge. Also known as the RD line promotion. AQ did not want to send subs and from there he's been on a mission.

You just haven't learned to sift through the bullshit.

My opinion is this. YES this motor should not have passed QC. Did it happen? Yes. Would DJ let it happen had he known about it? I don't think so. That's one of the problems with producing things overseas and out of your sight. You can only trust people so much. They are out to make a buck just like everyone else, and sometimes things might suffer. Out of the thousands of subs that AQ has made, how many do you think have this problem? Whats an acceptable percentage?

An acceptable percentage would be less then 5%. So far the HDC3 is 2 for 2 on failures for the AQs that have come into my hands. I will have two more coming in this next week for recones as well. Hoping to see better results. 5% is fair enough isnt it? Most of the recones I do are to change speaker size, change impedance, or power handling. I have yet to have an AQ come in here that hasnt failed (next two failed and are awaiting parts). Is it possible to be coincidence, sure. But I like to be proven wrong instead of just hoping and crossing my fingers that Im just getting all the ones with structural flaws.

Obviously nobody is perfect, but frankly you just came off as real salty in your first post, like you think this is the way that AQ does business all the time. The fact of the matter is that DJ does this for fun and not for money. He likes giving people good products at awesome prices. And he does that very well. Occasionally problems are going to happen, and unfortunately that problem landed in your hands where you gotta blab about it to the entire world and bring down DJ and his products.

Does it matter what DJ does it for? Does he not have the full responsibility to take care of his products and customers? Something not even you can argue?

I rarely see you do this to anyone else, especially companies that you have had (good) deals with in the past. Only until after they stop giving you deals do you start the bashfest. Or maybe after you find out they WON'T give you a deal.

I can make up all the crap about you I could want but Im not that kind of person. ALL products from the challenge were returned to the owners besides a Z15 which jacob had me send to Scott in Indiana as he had paid for it and a RD alpha max that steve had me pay for in return of Jarrett helping me build the boxes for the test. Maybe you should get facts before you accuse someone of something. Also like I said before I had made threads for TC, USamps, and a few others.

Would you like to hold me accountable for a cone issue that was outsourced to a company in Chicago, that promised a non-conductive surface five years ago? Go right ahead doesnt bother me one bit, if you wish to blame that issue on me I will accept it. But do you know what the company did, they saw their issue and they fixed it. Sewn leads and non conductive material was added to underside of cone. Something some companies will do and others wont.

When have I once said I dont care about others opinions. The only difference is there are no intelligent opinions out there, they are all direct bashes at me and have nothing to do with the issue. If Alex or Mike dont like what I say they resort to personal attacks and have absolutly nothing to say about the actually product, which appears like something you may be attempting to?

I've tested things for other companies and have found some unfavorable results. You know what I do? I talk to the company direct and give them my insight. I don't make threads on forums calling out these companies and calling their business practices shameful. What does that solve? Now only do you tick the company off, now you tick off anybody who runs their stuff. Great idea. And you wonder why this thread has turned into 10+ pages?

They all really hate me, and the four members im building vehicles for, I had done atleast five last year as well. Guess everyone hates me and just trying to steal my deeebeezz

I don't run AQ, nor do I plan on it, but the way you handled this situation only further proves that no company should EVER work with you on ANYTHING. Some things are best left private. If nothing comes out of it (like in this situation), it shouldn't be your civil duty to go and cry on all the forums about it. Get over yourself and realize that you don't deserve an award for knowing more about subwoofer design than the average schmo.

Do I have the freedom of speech to let people know my experience? Was it left private for the past month, yes. Was any response given, no. From their I figured this would get the point across. And I gotta tell you, and cant be happier to see that someone actually knows of the issue now, even if it is AQ people.

Come at me with personal attacks or talking about me like you actually knew something, when you clearly dont like you kinda did in this forum, you will see the same side at shows. Just my natural reaction, gloves come off. Dont care who you are.

I dont go around talking about how DD and Sundown hooked you up to make you talk up their stuff (which they didnt but its a simple example). I bet youd be a little pissed at me specially when you know it aint true but it comes up time and time again with no supporting evidence from all my buddies.

You can't even define what a Pos is anyways. My cars run, have low mileage on them, they do what they were intended to do as a stock vehicle. Upgrades is where it changes everything.

I don't know if this matters but it kind of lets you have a feel for how cheap the parts are for an sdc2.5.

The entire softparts, the recone, costs 25$ from AQ. .................Plus the additional 25$ which adds up to 50$ to ship it-Irrelevant.
