HDC3 & American Bass HD really the same exact thing?

The guy somewhere above noticed two things. The diagonal cut former & its thickness (which each by themselves make the subwoofer different from the AQ) and the spider former joint. The AQ uses a 1/3 spider glued on the bottom of the lower-most layer of spiders (from the former to approximately 1/3 to 2/5 of the radial distance across the spider). The glue lets loose there quite often, but it thickens the former joint on the bottom spider layer, often preventing premature damage at that joint. Lucky it's a soft glue used at the joint where the small diameter spider attaches to the full size spider.

Also, look into the Addictive Audio brand and stare at their largest subwoofer series. It's a version of the same appearing sub. There are definitely others that look nearly identical whose sub assemblies are made in the same place if not completely built there.

When I mentioned AQ to the guy he started going off on how much he hated their team or something, so that might be why? I don't know, i just think its insane how he was talking 425 for that sub.
How did I miss this. Rich hates on AQ cuz me and DDbump are the loudest at his shows and we run AQ stuff LOL

And of course he's going to push AB since he's a dealer, that makes sense. Actually I heard his prices were pretty good on AB subs...

Looking back at this and dealership prices, he actually does give very good prices for both DD and American Bass, especially for a dealer. Rich is a pretty cool guy, but yeah that's pretty hilarious, he mentioned something about one of the teams calling him an *** clown or something like that. He is quite the character lol. If I recall correctly his price for a 9518 was like 600 bucks, which at a dealer I feel is a pretty good price

I talked to him at the USACI show he did last year and was told he hated AQ, so I made sure to mention AQ to him LOL He starting going off on a rant about DD vs AQ and some other stuff. Made no difference to me and most of what he said was BS anyway.

I think DDbump used to stop in his shop and antagonize him now and then which only helps to fuel the anger. Where you at the show last year? The one where we couldn't demo...

He didn't let you guys demo?.. Was it the show that was in Kenosha that he held?

& I haven't been to any shows quite yet, I'm planning to this year though.

Yeah its pretty easy to set him off, especially about AQ. If you even mention the name Audioque he gets buttmad and starts to rage, i can't imagine someone coming into his shop and giving him **** for it, lol.
