HDC3 18 box size

Suggestions on box size for a HDC3 18 on 1500w tuned to 35Hz????
After talking with AMI customs(the big nasty on youtube), he said they are They are stiff suspension subs They need 6 cubes tuned to 35-40hz with 16 to 20 square inches of port area per cubic feet. Tuning any lower than 35hz just looses output is what his tests yielded. I have mines built by CSCstang tuned to 36hz with 12 cubes net after displacement.

So this looks about rite? Cud I just give a box builder these dimensions, and just hope for the best, or shud I let them design a box?

Might want to have them check out your ride and tell you what exactly you can and cant do. I remember having my design ready, all excited and sh*t then i came to CSCstang and he told me of some fitment problems that might occur and made necessary changes to fit everything perfectly while staying true to specs. Totally recommend him to build a bad@ss box for you at a great price point.

ALSO bro, use birch man, dont use mdf, its well worth the extra dough. WAAAAY lighter and wood is solid/strong as f***

Yea, I hit him up already....hopefully do business this weekend but I'm still waiting on my sub. I have an 02 Explorer and kinda mapped everything out so hopefully my dimensions work of not cool....I Jus Wanna Bang

you should be getting louder than me easily with a single 18. Explorers are a lot easier to get loud in compared to Toyotas, the car design/body itself adds plenty of dbs. Plus you got the sub up port rear orientation which is optimal for open cabin cars. Sh*t's gonna get slammin brooo

btw where the hell do you buy the shirt thats in your avatar!!??
