hokay... i have 7 cubes (after port and woofer displacement) to work with....this will be a 2 15 setup which leaves 3.5 cubes per woofer... i will be using a aq 3500d for now until i upgrade to 5000 watts down the road... the only reason im posting this is bec i can get the hccas for under 400 bucks.... this will be in an envoy... thank you

there must be something, bc in the past wk, ive seen at least 6 diff threads on the hccas...prior, i havnt seen mayb 3...lol...but id go with the hccas on 5000w...they take alot to move but they get loud...2500w each and they will knock...1750 is a maybe but u wont see ANYWHERE near potential

SnoopDan, who has years of SPL competition experience, tested the new HCCA a couple years ago. His conclusions were bad, awful actually. They dont sound very good, and apparently they dont compare very favorably to other top SPL subs in terms of sheer output, so I really dont know what niche the HCCA's fill besides keeping the Orion nuthuggers happy.

Sounds like you plan on spending $700-$1000. Why not just pool the money and get a single 18" or 21" Warden? Its pretty much the premier badass SPL driver on the market currently.

ya i have heard mixed reviews.... i just dont want the hastle of blowing another woofer and having to deal with the whole reconing process.... if i bought from my dealership they would help me out more bec they have been hooking me up for years with half price everything.... but i know ias will outperform them but i didnt know by how much

Pretty sure the orions have a removable top assembly, but I could be wrong. My DP is taking a beating from a saz3000d.....it gets pretty stinky full tilt but that's expected at 2x the rms and it actually sounds nice while dialed back and on regular music.
