HC1800 vs. Yellow Top D34

i would go hc1800 in a car system haveing reserve just means it can take a beating that much more. the kinetik has more plate surface (whole case is filled with plates) so in that reguard it has more to work with. the kinetik ah rateing of 81 vs 55 for the yellow top (c/20).

yeah.. hm. thats true. well how about internal resistance? kinetik does not give that spec for any of their batteries, unless i'm blind. they also don't give CCA

i would go for reserve thats just me though. reason being is when you are listening to your system loud at low speeds (rpm) the battery helps the alt. the more reserve you have the longer it can do this without haveing to listen at lowwer levels waiting to recharge from your alt...that is unless you have like a 260 amp alt for a 1200 watt system lol

i actually went out to get a yellow top today. was able to fit a group 34 into my passat and the switch was cake. i can actually sort of tell a slight difference, the MD2 seems to have a bit more juice to play with and it sounds almost effortless, kinda hard to explain.
