I just finished fabricating an enclosure for my 12" HC and took a drive. The setup was wangin hard and dropped really low. Honestly, It reproduced the lower notes with more and greater authority than my 15" XXX tuned to 27hz!! But not far after, I started hearing a huffing sound. At first I thought it was port noise. So I pulled over to investigate and the sound was coming from the dust cap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif . The dust cap came loose form 10 o'clock to 1. Air was escaping from the rear vent pole to the dust cap. What would of caused the dust cap to come loose?? Too much pressure building inside the dust cap?? Or maybe just poor build quality? (which I doubt because the sub was I believe built by scott and I am a firm believer of RE's choice in materials and adhesives becasue of previous products)
