Having trouble with Hifonics Brutus BXi606

I've decided these:

The RCA cables work.

I bought new and replaced all the speaker wires.

I tried the Y adapter.

If anyone can point me in a step by step guide to wiring this thing, I'd appreciate it. The manual shows TWO different Y adapters.... wtf?

Here is the diagram and my piss poor excuse for my drawing

The tech from Hifonics told me to choose one output from the high low converter. So I choose the "black". Ok, good deal. I plug the Y adapter to the black then plug in both my RCA cables. Return to my amp and plug back in both RCA cables. Technically this should work but I am still getting no output //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you don't need 2 sets of rca inputs....its a mono amp..1 set is all you need. You are putting them in the input jacks and not the output jacks, correct???

There is no switch on my amp...WTF are you doing with the RCA's? There should only be one set of sub outs on your HU...plug those into the "in" on your amp...you don't need the friggin' "y" connector...red to red, white to white...that sheet you showed a picture of is confusing me!!

What is that box after the HU?

The reason I suggested that you try the RCA's from your front speaker amp is to make sure that you haven't burned out the sub outs on the HU

I appologize for the drawing. This is a stock HU so there were no outputs. I had to put a high low convertor which gave me 2 RCA outputs.

The tech with Hifonics is telling me to put a Y adapter on one of those outputs, thus leaving me with 1 hanging output and 1 used.

I am almost to the giving up point. :\

Take + and - wires that go to one of your rear speakers, extend them, and touch RCA inputs on the amp while the Head unit is on. Touch inside contact of the RCA with one wire and outside contact with another wire. Your subwoofer should play music, if amplifier is powered up and working....

I made the mistake of telling Hifonics I bought it new off eBay so they won't warranty it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I dont see why if its new they wont cover it.. but oh well.
