i absolutley LOVE mine. when u talk about the higher notes of bass, do u have any idea what frequesncies approxx? like 100+? i have mine in a sealed 1.8cuft box build slightly dif than to jl specs....when i really push mine hard and i oush higher notes, i notice that the sub seems to make a deep buzzing noise along with the tone itself.....but i cant say that and be positive it is the sub because there are a lot of imperfections in my setup...leaks in the box.......rattling etc.....what are your settings like on the orion? u have it knocked out of phase 180? i do- and i think it sounds a lot better than being in phase. i g2g get back to my work- but ill be back. let me know what u think

yes my orion amp is out of phase however i didnt mention i have a sony crossover. What should the setting be or should i even have the crossover at all? ITs at 10+db but the sub level is down to a 3 from a 10. Then something 80hz. Theres 4 options in it 50hz,80hz,120 hz and 180 i think.

I was planning to give up and get 4 re8's that was on sale. but i'll cancle my ebay auction tonight. Its crazy how rarely people bid but i got like 15 emails from people who want to buy it without going through the auction.

doesnt your orion amp have a LPF? (low-pass-filter, it kills all the high frequencies and makes sure your sub doesnt see any mid-bass or treble) generally speaking i wouldnt be unsing any sony x/o's just because of their bad reputation with quality- particularly with a big sq sub like the w7....

my suggestion would be to either make use of the lpf on the orion amp(as long as it has a lpf) and ditch the sony xo....if the orion does not have a lpf then i would suggest buying one from a company like audio control or some company like that. what kind of deck/head unit are u using? does it have a sub output? hit me up on aim if u have it- my sn is in my sig...
