I have driven many actually, never owned one though. I'm not hating on the engine, It's not the best for ease of repairs, but not nearly the worst v6 ff layout.
Almost all of my hate comes from the suspension. They drive like minivans. The swaybar links are sloppy and not reliable. The springs are heavy and yet still very soft. The struts are honestly just average in the front and too weak in rebound dampening in the rear. The wheel bearings are not even close to durable. The steering feels disconnected like for the first 1/4 of a turn each way it's just adjusting the body's roll angle, and it's topped off with pretty poor weight distribution (kinda hard to get right in a FF v6).
The rocker panels are also prone to premature rust damage in the snowy states.
I also hate the interior, but that is a very minor issue.
