Have u tried this method for carpeting?

yea cant get a hold of my boy that does it right now, so wanted to ask if anyone else used the method. He sent me a couple of pics of his recent enclosure. Check it out:

Yeah man, that's the way I do it myself. I have a little POS trim router that I bought from Harbor freight that I specifically use for this task. I don't use a rabbit bit though. I use a 3/8" dovetail bit. It gives me a narrow opening, and tapers out like so / \ That way I have room to stuff both pieces of carpet in with a flat blade metal scraper. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

 
what would you guys use for say a fibgerglass custom mold box, i use regular carpeting and found myself piecing together the back of the box with carpet, since it had so many curves n dips
