Have u tried this method for carpeting?

I seen people using a rabbetting w/ bearing bit to tuck in there carpet in the hole, and make a nice finish to it. Anyone else use this method?

nope never heard of it...I always just cut out the circle and then cut lines all the way around and then wrap the carpent inside the box and staple it down

Yeah man, that's the way I do it myself. I have a little POS trim router that I bought from Harbor freight that I specifically use for this task. I don't use a rabbit bit though. I use a 3/8" dovetail bit. It gives me a narrow opening, and tapers out like so / \ That way I have room to stuff both pieces of carpet in with a flat blade metal scraper. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

what would you guys use for say a fibgerglass custom mold box, i use regular carpeting and found myself piecing together the back of the box with carpet, since it had so many curves n dips
