Hey guys, I have a problem with my amp cutting out, I used to have a response 1000 watt RMS amp and that was cutting out, so I went and brought a brand new soundstream 2000 watt rms mono block amp and it is still doing the same thing, I need some help please guys,

The amp is running 2 12" kicker solo classic subs

I have a alpine head unit, it's an older head unit

And stock speakers

I am running a 4 gauge amp kit

Thanks guys

Josh

Does it cut out all the time,at low volume, or with it cranked up?

Did the amp work fine then all the sudden start having problems?

Have you checked all the connections?

You have a good, bare metal ground?

Is it to much rms watts for the stock battery and Altinator
No Shiet! lol. Did you just throw a 2k rms amp on your stock charging system and think it will handle it fine?

Step 1: turn down your gains(level adjustment on amp), turn off bass boost of any sort whether head unit or amp, NEVER touch it ever again.

Step 2: Do the big 3 upgrade (look it up on youtube or something) Learn how to make proper grounds.

Step 3: you'd to upgrade to an AGM battery under the hood or add another battery to the trunk.

Step 4: BUY a digital multi-meter

Step 5: Learn to properly set your gains with the multi-meter.
