Hatchback Owners & You Bass System...

Hey eveyone! I look around here and see what people have for bass here and it is astonshing. 4 12's 2 15's ect... but most of these seem to apply to trunk applications. Now what about hatch applications. I have only had my bass system in for about a month and I am just amazed. I have a hatchback, and to me we hatch people have a interesting advantage. My singe 12' in a vented box firing to the rear produces a buttload of sound. For me it can be overwhelming it I want it to be. If I would have had a trunk I would have bought at 2 type R's ,2 IDMAX, 2 Boston G2's ect.....at a minimum. With a hatch that just was not necessary. 1 12' Alpine type E produces amazing sound in my car, believe it or not, powered by a directed audio 600 watt amp. It goes so well with the rest of my system and I am very happy with it. So with that being said, I am wondering what you other hatchback owners have and think about the extra punch a hatch can bring to the table. Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I will tell you this I had a Geo Storm gsi hatchback and my subs sounded good but when I wrecked it and was forced to purchase a new vehicle, and ended up with a GMC Jimmy I was completely blown away by the fact that porting the subs made a huge difference....which I was able to do because of more room.

So I think suv applications are as good or better than hatchback apps.

Yeah, hatchbacks can get very loud with minimal work involved. I had 2 old school Orion xtr's off an older MMats 900rms amp and it was one of the loudest budget systems I have had. I had about maybe 1000 bucks into it and was doing 149.8 on the a/c 190 a long time ago. So maybe like 146,147dbs on todays TL. I was very happy with that at the time. Too bad I got rid of that car. I miss it and the kid I sold it too didnt take care of it. It was a 1984 Toyota Corrola 3 dr hatchback. Wish I still had my pics of it. Was an interesting car to say the least with a 3000 dollar metal flake paint job on it. Changed 4 different colors when the sun hit it.

AHHHHHHHH, I am gonna stop ranting about it now, this thread just made me think about it and how much I wish I still had that car. I should buy it back!

I used to have a 91 Acura Integra 2 door hatch with quite a loud system in it.

1 UsAmps 400X (1600 watts rms)

2 Rockford Power Dvc 15's

It was quite the heart stopper.....i did low to mid 150's on the dash. It was pretty sweet.

hatchbacks are so much muhc better for bass than trunk setups...coming from me i know...i had a 98 honda accord with my setup and it was loud as shit...but all u could hear was the rattles on the outside...i know have a rsx and the sound of the bass is 200% better no lie...the hatch rattles but nothin else...it has to b the best thing ever ...im so happy with it:) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif :) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif :) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif :) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif :) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I had one trunk and 2 different hatchbacks. Hatchbacks FTW.

I currently have an 03 Eclipse.. running a 12W7 and 1/1000. Sounds awesome. But I think I'm going def.. so soon to be two 12W7 and Orion 2500d. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

thats good to hear cause, im putting a single 12" idq in a ported box in my sisters mazda6 hatch and thought that it wasnt going to be loud, but i think it will be plenty for her.
