operation repo is the most M O S T by scripted show BY FAR!!!!!! i dont even watch it any more, just dumb to me... i do like lizard lick towing tho... haha doesnt seem as fake and scripted...

i like both pawn stars and HCP... would pick pawn stars 8 out 10 times over HCP. had a chance to go there this past summer as i bowled nationals and couldnt resist not goin there!! lolol was a GREAT experience! got to chat with chumlee, rick and the old man... bought a couple items too. they are JUST as you see on tv... the store is bigger than what you see on TV!

Yeah well the fact that you enjoy that stupid lizard lick towing show pretty much negates any opinions you bring to the table since that show is god awful...

Want a real hardcore pawn? At my dad's old shop we had a guy pull a HiPoint 9mm on us and my daring superdad asked him, "WTF YOU GONE DO JR??!?!?!?"

Another time, had a guy literally sneak behind the counter and put a Mossberg Persuader 500 in his SHORTS and walk out. I couldn't see him do it from having a generator blocking my view while I was looking for the MOD/SERIAL #s.... Glad that guy didn't have me on his shltlist

I watch them both time to time. But pawn stars is always better. No matter how scripted it is, I'm just in it for the items. I like the history channel a lot and modern marvels is the schit.

I hear where people are coming from, but hell, we are talking about them, and they are still on the air, so they get enough ratings to stay on.

Ya, not much to see anymore. When I was there at the beginning of the year I got to see all of them in person. They were doing a Chevy comercial in the parking lot. But I guess that pretty much arent there anymore. Cool to walk in though.

Even if this were true, I wouldn't feel comfortable confirming it here.

I do however feel comfortable saying that he is well known locally as a womanizer, disrespectful to waitresses and bar maids, a mean drunk, and is not nearly so nice in person as he appears to be on the show.

OMG this. The 'expert' says something is worth $4k-$5k, and the seller then says he wants $5k. Do so many people really not understand what a pawn shop is? If anything, Im often surprised how close to the estimated value they are willing to spend on items. Usually pawn shops offer you pennies on the dollar.

Just some unrelated info I know... his family is fairly wealthy. His brother, who you've probably seen on the show, owns 'Wolfe Construction' here in town, I see him driving around in one of his work trucks once in a while. Mike, even before the show, has had (family) money, owns several buildings around town, and use to make his living via a bicycle shop. This is why he's always so interested in old bikes on the show. I think he's into motorcycles only because it makes him look a little less girly. He'd probably rather drive a scooter around town than a Harley.

No, Ive never met Mike. I didnt even know he dated my step sister until years later. He is notorious for having (much) younger girlfriends.
