Dude im white but i went to all black schools ..im 30 now and grew up on alot of rap and frankly im tired of 90%of it is garbage. But i like me some rittz

I agree. Gotta dig for the good stuff. I haven't listened to the radio since I was like 17, I'm 27 now. My buddy got me into underground lyrical stuff, been listening to it ever since.

Rap started gaining popularity in the 70's. Kurtis blow, Grandmaster Flash, DJ Herk....
