hanging speakers?

well i was going to ues some sturdy metal L brakets. but if i can get them hanging in a sturdy secure way would it sound ok. this is my first system i am not looking for amazing sound quality. the other place i could think of is in the back pointing forward but they would be right above 2 alpine type r 12 and i dont want the bass drowning out the mids and highs. any other ideas? its a ford escort 1997 sedan

well i am new to this been reading a bunch of stuff but i dont understand door speakers because the door is not sealed. could you please explain the diffrence? and is a baffle like a kick panel?

It doesn't matter on speakers (mids/tweets) that the door is not sealed (for you and your application anyway). Does the door currently have a space for speakers? If so buy/make a ring to space it out some. If you have to cut out the door panel to do so, then put non-hardening clay between the door panel and the ring. This method isn't exactly right either but I don't know how much skill you have considering you wanted to hang some mids from the roof.

well the problem is not the door panel i would rip out the grill area part but the window crank would be in the way. what if i car a second hole down the door some more and sealed the hole there already? or cut the window crank off and reatched knob?
