handling the power?

the whole system was tuned so that the HU could be maxed all the way out at 62 and no distortion.
Just because the HU was maxed out, doesn't mean the amplifiers were. You typically will not get full RMS output with music......atleast for more than a few tenths/hundredths of a second, even when going balls to the wall. And he also could had gains/etc set conservatively to where even with test tones the amp would not put out full power. There is simply no way to say that his 4x6 were absolutely handling 100w RMS.

the model is the kenwood 7202 which is supposed to do 150x2. oh and i can make the final step up for another 15 dollars which is 170x2. the speakers it is going to power are 150rms.
JBL CS 50.4 $108 143x2 bridged

Kenwood 7202 $115 150x2 2 channel

Kenwood 7252 $129 170x2 2 channel

I'd go for the JBL, personally.
