Hand built tubes

Someone reads slashdot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I found that video to be quite amazing. From the looks of it he built a lot of his own machinery as well as 99% of the electronics in the video.

I'm on 56K at the moment, so what's this about? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
A French amateur ham radio operator uses hand tools and custom built machinery to hand build vacuum tubes. He also shows a whole bunch of hand built electronics. He makes it all look extremely simple.

That is pretty impressive //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I haven't reached that point...yet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Agreed...cool video. He makes it look super easy, and I was like "wow, I can do this!".....That was untill he busted out the mineature baking oven or whatever that cylindrical contraption was. That and the vacuum machine. I def don't have one of those in the basement.....
