Half done with BIG 3!! ...QUICK QUESTION!!!

Like said above, there is a crimping tool. What I do is take the ring terminal and heat it with a torch and put solder in it. After it is melted I just put the wire over in it and then it is nice and tight once it cools down.. That has always worked for me.
Yup use a propane torch for sure. Feed in lots and lots of solder. Just don't put too much, or the wire will not be as flexible.

Mannyb.. you need to stop giving people false information.

The alt is connected to the engine block, which is then grounded to the chassis. You don't need to ground the alt.

For everyone else. Please read the Big 3 tutorial at the sticky'd top of the Wiring Forum.

Please leave your questions there.

That's correct...

I've seen installs where the person placed the 1/0 from the mounting bracket where the alt. mounts to the engine block and ran that to the chasis. Thus killing two birds with one stone...

You can ground the engine block where it meets the chassis.

OR

You can remove one of the bolts that connects the alt to the enigine block, put your ring terminal there, and then ground that to the body/frame. It doenst make much of a difference besides making the current travle further by travleing through the engine block.

johnecon2001...quit jumping on people over stooped (intentional) little things where more than one way is correct.

That is all.
