Half-Din Flipout Monitor Still Exist?

Ok here is the situation, I have been using the Pyle Half-din monitor and fabricating it into a certain piece in my accord (pictured/video below) its the Pyle PLTV7.5DIN. I know its pyle, but it is the only half din flip out I can find. I love it because it is the perfect size for my application. As of 2 weeks ago, they have DISCONTINUED:furious: them, Anyhow I need to know if anyone KNOWS if there is any other Half-Din flip out monitors, it is crucial!, thanks alot guys!

i dont know of any, i would keep searching around, but i really like that, it looks nice in that location. did you have to custom fabricate it?

Our radio has an adapter on the bottom, and you can plug in a soundgate adapter, which in turn comes out with a pair of a/v outputs, the pyle screen has 3pairs of a/v wires, so you match those up to your dvd, to the screen and the aux switch, and you hit "AUX" on the radio and it will play whatever is being sent through the soundgate, I currently have my IPOD direct connect to it.

The pyle screen comes with brackets, which I build up in the back with 2 nuts on either side, and I CA Glue them to the underside of the panel, and then Plastic Weld them for extra strength. I used bondo (rage gold) in some areas to get it smooth, but for the bezel, I used self hardening clay, .25 block wood on top (sanded down) and then Painted with SEM OEM Texture and Paint.I was on a roll selling them, I started back in October and just In Decemember I perfected it, and had sold about 7 and had 4 on the way as you can see, until I found out their is no half din flip out screen anymore. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

Do you know of a way to do that without the radio that you use?

Because I currently have a panasonic 7" flip out in my civic, but it doesnt allow as much control as I would like. I would like to keep it for its capability to play dvd's, but I would like another head unit to use for my tuner and subwoofer controls.

Just wondering if you know...

Chris, I am sory I don't know how you would do this. Unless you just got a all in one dvd/tuner/flipuot

Anyhow this monitor has been suggested, but I can't find it for sale at any other retail online and will refuse to pay 599, I was getting the pyle's for 194, 210 shipped

i would contact pyle and see what they think maybe u can sell the idea to them getmore moneys but that would prolly not work but that looks hella nice

thanks, i have called Pyle many times and their customer service sucks, 2 different times the same guy told me they have discontinued the pltv7.5din, and the

pltvd7.5n (slightly different faceplate and switcher[new version]) will be released in 2 weeks, I called in back to find out if they got them in yet, he had no idea what i was talking about, sometimes I feel as though people do not care about customers when they are dealing with them on the phone, I feel as though I am inflicting on their time.

Im just curious, how is the picture quality on the Pyle HU? BTW, that install is outstanding, looks like it belongs there and flushed perfect. Nice.

The screen is average, you know, nothing outstanding, but its a decent good looking screen.
