Ha sanyone ever used/heard this POS

This isnt an SPL driver. A guy here had a few of them and blew them up on 1500 watts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Theres more to hitting high SPL's than raw power handling.

Sensitivity and the F3 point of the sub box combo are actually more important.

Competitors were hitting the 150's long before this obscene power race started in the late 90's.

How do you think it was done back then with "only" 1000 watts?

You seem to know a lot about a sub you have no experience with and no valid opinions on. Cool....
Sorry, I just dont believe a driver with a RMS power handling of 1000 watts makes a good SPL driver. And I dont see a reason to use 3 baskets to get a 3-spider suspension(besides bling/wow factor). The MTs we use have 4 spiders on 1 basket, so I know it is not necessary. Surely we can agree on that.

I agree but I cannot get myself to badmouth a driver without having first hand or respectable second hand experience with it.

The multiple baskets looks lame as hell and to have it for only 3 spiders is pretty stupid.

I'm sorry; I dont know anything about SPL. Someday I'll learn.

Please show me a Certified Db drag score w/the TL were some on has done a 158 with 2000 watts in a street class.

Was there a TL back then? I know the old TL's (the ones that preceeded term lab USB) where about as acurate as the AC-180 minus the adjustable K-Factor.

Difference in metering equiptment could be how people where doing 158's back then with "only" 1000w.

Last time I was metered on a 180 it was 8 DB higher than what I did on the TL the same day. So, yeah.
