ok I have 2 15" H2 now would it be fine if I ran them with 1200rms each becuase I just can't afford anymore power. Or do you think I should sell these subs and find different ones name some that will get louder and have better sound quailty then these 2 15"s for around 400

thanks a lot guys I know I put up a bunch of threads about H2's and stuff I just never really got a clear message on what I should do what size net each would you recommend for a ported box? and what size sealed? can I invert these subs in either enclosure? only asking becuase each sub takes up almost .5 cu of displacement. Whould inverting a sub affect the sound or loudness.

1200 watts isnt nearly enough for a h2. i had a JL 1000/1 on a h2 12" and it wasnt happy until we got 2000+ watts on it. i would say if you have the right VC combonation, run a singl1 g2 ported. i think you will be much happier with the performance.

I have the chance to get 4 10" l7 for about the same price as I can sell my H2's for. Do you think I should make the switch. the l7's would be sealed though and the H2's would prob be ported.

def keep the h2s. 1200w each will be more than enuff for ya, its gonna hurt;)
on 1200 watts a single H2 wont do half of what it can. i had one, and experimented a lot with it a while back when they came out. i ditched it for a w6v2 and was much happier with the output.

1200 watts on just about any speaker is going make it hammer, especially if the install is good and the electrical system can keep up
when it calls for 2000 watts rms. ok, take this for example. my buddy had a fosgate 1500 watt amp on a cvr 12", since it has been replaced with a solo x 12", and it isnt half as loud as it was.

If you replaced a cvr with a solo x and your losing Db's I feel something is horribly wrong.

But then again X's take absurd amounts of power.

I'm also surprised a cvr 12" could hold a bd1500 all day

#1..how did the 12" CVR take 1500 watts daily...dont see that happenign for too long.#2..your buddy must not know what he's doing if he lost Db's going to a solo x
the solo x isnt recieving hardly any power. it doesnt have enough to really get loud. when a woofer calls for 5000 watts and it is only getting a fraction of that, it doesnt work so well.

well the solo x isnt as efficient as the cvr im sure. but the h2 doesnt need its rms to get loud. trust me, ive had plenty of em. and if done properly any sub can handle the power, ive had a 2500d on my type E daily, it ran perfect. juss gotta kno wha ya doin thats all;)
i had a h2 in my cobra if you were around when i had that car. i first had it with a JL 1000/1, and wasnt happy, it was only temp, then i put it on a c2k 9.0 that a friend had to see what it was like and i still wasnt really happy with it. tried it both ported and sealed.

and about handling the power, i have a diamond d3 12" on a diamond d51200.1 and it sounds great. it loves the power.
