H/U is last piece to buy; Skeptical about Pioneer now!

I tried out Pioneer for the first time,(880), and just got it back with whatever fix they do for the grounding noise issue. I'm sure it will work fine now....but as far as I'm concerned the fix wether done youself,(very ghetto), or factory fix, is a problem. Should have stuck with Alpine, or looked elsewere. I will next time for sure.....and if I have any more problems that 880 will go cheap...
Dibs on the 880 if it's not already spoken for, and you don't mind shipping it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Well wouldn't you know it. Got it back....finally, grounded the shit out of it...and yes it still has the same horrible noise and not good output either. Sonics said they would exchange for an Alpine...will wait and see. If they do me another Pioneer I will let you know as I am done with them.

P880 and you dont like it? I will hook mine up in the next week and let you know if I have any of these problems but I have not heard one bad thing about these.

I ended up springing for the Alpine 9855. I have it hooked to a battery on my bench to play with. I really like the looks of this unit so far. Menu systems will take some getting used to after owning strictly Pioneer in the past.

Glidetouch really isn't all that bad. I've got it down pretty well after only playign with it for an hour or so. We'll see if I get pissed off at it when I'm navigating through mp3 discs and what not. If that's the case, I'll probably be going to the 880 and selling this guy.

Got mine back from repair...still had the shreeky sound. Installed another unit and all is well. To bad, I thought the features were worth a try. But now I have processing anyway, so the 880 is out for good. Good luck with yours though, many people seem to really like this deck.
