h/u (help me out)

ok guys my g/f wants a deck in her car...well she seen this sony deck (model # cdx-m630)and she really likes it but im tryin to talk her out of it and wanted to know if you guys could give me a list of h/u's that are in the price range of $200-$280...im lookin for more of a show off deck, (colors, motorized face, not a necessity but would like to have that) if anybody can help please let me know..thanks a lot!

you could even get a pioneer 8400 with the motorized face for about that price sience the new models came out recently

the eclipse 3422 is the deck to buy for about your price range. it runs about $300.

Actually, given that the 03 decks are hitting shops, you can probably get that deck for less. The shop sold one today for $50 off. Eclipse decks do sound awesome.

i just bought the 5443 yesterday, the 03 model. it looks better (aluminum face and blue lighting). i picked that up for $300 yesterday, and it plays mp3's has 5 volt pre-amp outputs, and it has the fold down face.

Is she really into sound systems? Do you need to hook up any amps or subs? If you don't plan on doing this, then I'd just get a cheap alpine deck, that has good wattage rating and good s/n ratio.

Are you sure it plays mp3s? According to the Eclipse brochure, the only 03 models that play mp3s(without using the Eclipse Commander Advance piece) are the 3403 and 3413. I can't wait to get my cd8053 though. I am getting impatient.

Youd have to spend a little more but not much for the pioneer deh-p9300. I have it and I love it, looks really cool and has a shit load of features

my eclipse guy told me that they are coming out with a docking port for the 03 eclipse decks. he said that it will be available shortly, and yes, it is the first eclipse to play mp3s

Well, actually, the 2 models below the 5 volt play mp3s(with no docking port....which I believe is called "eclipse commander advance"...my future deck, the cd8053 will need that also). I just called Eclipse again looking for a release date on the cd8053(the release date has changed about 10 times in the past month). As of today, it slated for an April release(last time I called it was slated for a "summertime" release).
