Yeah, I know what you mean. Remember when companies like Chevy came around and stole Ford's idea of putting wheels on their vehicles? They can't think of any of their own ideas.Yeah your right they do have rings....They obviously stole the design from BMW as everyone knows that have been using the corona ring lighting technology since the late 90's.
It only took Chevrolet 10-15 yrs to rip off the cosmetic lighting design //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
An OEM Manufacturer putting a ring in a production vehicle is a totally different story than someone buying a cheap Chinese housing off Ebay and bolting it on their.....Ford, Dodge Ram, Honda Civic, Mitsubishi Galant ect.
And I agree they do look hot on that new Camaro with the only the two rings and not the 4 like Bimmers have.
I'm sure the engineers said lets use lighting to accentuate the front end to add an aggressive looks and they said oh yeah BMW has accomplished this for 10+ years on 3,5,7,and x Series lets put a ring in there. It's always going to be easier to rip off someone else's design than think of something new.

I dunno, I guess I just don't see little things like that as 'stealing ideas', or anything of the sort. I mean, new ideas are great and all, but a lot of companies would get almost nowhere without incorporating an idea that another company may have created. I'm pretty big into video games, so I'll use this as an example://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif That's a good one man!
But keep in mind wheels are a standard a drive train necessity and we were talking about a cosmetic design feature with the rings.
That's a pretty cleaver analogy none the less. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
I totally agree my good sir. It looks hawt on that Camaro. I was mainly just commenting on the guys slapping the ebay housings with rings on any old car.I dunno, I guess I just don't see little things like that as 'stealing ideas', or anything of the sort. Everybody loves a good game of Nazi Zombies. It's fun, it's cool, whatever. But wait..what happened? Gears of War just incorporated Horde mode and everybody is losing their minds. I'm on the EPIC Games forum, and I constantly see people getting all butthurt over what game studio stole whose idea, and I just see it as a bunch of BS. Sure, the idea may be similar or even the exact same, but they're two totally different designs that are both good - so, why not?
no such thing as "stealing ideas"... only thing that could be considered is... not patenting it or making it so ****** that nobody could beat. but again? if i took the housing apart do i need to seal it back up with silicone or somthing for humidity in texas?I dunno, I guess I just don't see little things like that as 'stealing ideas', or anything of the sort. I dunno what you're even talking about. But carry on with your discussion.no such thing as "stealing ideas"... only thing that could be considered is... not patenting it or making it so ****** that nobody could beat. but again? if i took the housing apart do i need to seal it back up with silicone or somthing for humidity in texas?
Where's the Pics?..... I want to see all of these production vehicles with OEM rings in the headlights since the 70's I must have missed.yes, you absolutely need to reseal the headlights. both for humidity and water-fastness.
Its adorable you think BMW is an innovator. The halo lights have been around in a form since at LEAST the 70's.
