H.I.D. light choice?

I have 6k hids in my fogs, lows, and my led signals. the xentec brand hids are a bit more blue than the other 6k lights. My precision lighting lows have a lifetime warranty on bulbs and ballasts. I'd get the 55ks if you want to have them really bright, but the 35s will be fine from 4.5-6k

55k's? are they illegal?

ballast in my housing?? i do not believe i have that... they do offer a 5k... would u choose that over the 6k or is the 6k a more desireable brightness
You have a ballast if u have the prod. in the first post. They are the black boxes in the lower corner of the item pics.

If you want more usable light output the 5000K might work better for you. they are to warm for me I like I 6000K Look

6000K fogs and Angel Eyes

It's a crispy white/blue light.

is there a higher wattage for the ballasts then 55k? and would that have the chance of heating up the light and having it melt the housing or something crazy/stupid?

6000k FTW
Angel Eyes on any car or truck other than a BMW make me laugh every time I see them. I usually point and laugh actually. Sometimes they get mad, But usually they just look away like they know what they have done wrong //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif

Of course this is happening as I drive by in actual BMW with real angels eyes designed by BMW for Bimmers.

Whats worse are those guys that put those "ebay special" led strips under/over their headlights and/or turn signal housings. Looks tacky as all hell.

+3 for DDM tuning. I have DDM HIDs on my 400ex. I race harescrambles so you can imagine how muddy the balasts get and I havent had a problem yet. Powerwashing and all.

Yes it is very possible to melt the housing.

thank you!... but is that something i need to worry about for my situation... the headlights themselves are smoked... would the heat the H.I.D.'s give off maybe screw the film up?

With 55 watt you should be okay. And you dont need brighter than 55w lol trust me. Personally I like 4500k too.

?

DDM is terrible. OEM or Morimoto only. DDM is boss audio of HIDs. lol

OP Yes you can run a quad retrofit with 4 projectors. Get on HIDPlanet.com

55 watt HIDs have been known to burn the bowls on alot smaller projectors completely ruining them.

My retrofit in my car. 35 watt = MH1 5.1 with Morimoto 5000k stage 3 kit with E46R shrouds

My truck. 35 watt MH1 4.0 with Morimoto 5000k stage 3 kit and CCFL halos on graphite shrouds

These projectors can be modded to give more or less blue at the cutoff.
