It's one of those "mystery" auctions...where you don't know what you're really getting. The Big Mac serves no purpose, what you're really bidding on are the mystery items that the seller will include with the Big Mac. Waste of time in my opinion.

Probably not all profit though.

Basically, the stuff he includes in the package is dictated on how much you bid. That's why it's kind of like a blind bid 'cause you're willing to pay X amount of dollars for something that's worth more than that amount.

So he can't just throw a couple coloring books in there if the winning bid was 5 thou. However, if the winning bid was like 10 dollars, you ain't gonna get some tickets to travel around the world....unless dude is really, really nice.

these things...well, alot of them. They buy items from websites using fake/stolen credit cards, the items then go to these mystery auctions.

It dont matter to these people if they make 10 bucks or 5000, its all free money to these freaks, and whats more, the stolen items become someone elses probs and they have good money.

legit guy needing to buy half a kilo for his party spends his legit money through paypal on an ebay auction.

he gets the 'big mac' and everything checks out ok.

I worked at a bar back in HS running the lighting and sound. Our bar manager sold coke and X for the private parties. since everyone uses cards, we rang up a drink special that would buy you an 8ball or a few pills.. etc. In the end, he got caught because they didn't have a corresponding item in our inventory labeled correctly and ATF caught it during an Audit of sales.

I've seen more blatant things on ebay tho.
