Gun saying things/quotes

Makes sense, Washington is hood city, besides the white house. No one, ever explains how all those death occured anyways.. **** gunowners, this isnt China.. we will not have to rely on guns to protect our democracy/republic/rights. I will say, people are crazy and should not be allowed to have guns. The Narcotic and Drug prevention agencies should have a new task. To gather weapons from criminals, murders, and civillians.. fuck you crazies, I want to be safe. I dont want a wild west reinactment!
You dont see mass murders at schools with crazies punching kids to death.. lets solve the issue by adding more of the instrument that makes it easier to kill lives.. good logic, not/thread

Axt, does your stupidity know no bounds?

People aren't criminals until they commit a crime. Therefore, our peace forces would be taking away weapons from people once the act is already committed. Oh wait, that already happens once the criminals are indited. Yeah, that would make this country safer....

EDIT: This isn't Minority Report, we can't, without error, determine who will commit crimes and who won't. There are tell-tell signs of psychopaths and people more apt to commit heinous crimes, and I agree with you that we should get better at this. Take away guns from all law abiding citizens and psychos will still be able to murder with their kept firearms, knives, shovels, bats, hammers, bare hands etc. Will the total death count at a single crime be as high? Probably not. Will criminals and mentally ill be more inclined to commit acts knowing they are in no danger of their victims resisting? You bet.

I think the problem AxT4430 has is that he thinks the government has the people's best interest at heart.

And don't be scared of guns because you don't know about them or know how to handle them. Humans are violent, and war never changes. You think just because this is your time and that we are America that history won't repeat itself. You know they always say look and study your history so that you won't repeat it. That's all you have to do to see what's really going on here. The power is being taken away from the people. Yes, we are used to our life comforts here, but things happen. Nothing lasts forever, and when it ends, you have to be prepared. Not saying how it will change, I'd just rather be safe than sorry.

It's for the children. We just want you to be safe!

To be fair, there are stupid people in every hobby, group, job, or what ever. I hate how a few gun owners make us all look bad.
Meh, it's the same as everything else in the world. 1 stupid hunter can turn 100 people against hunting. 1 stupid kid with his stereo turned too loud can turn the town against people with upgraded systems.

Thanks for first calling me stupid, and then naive.

My point is morality has no constant, everyone views how to.act in their own lives with their own set of morals. Furthermore, morality is easily over powered by our emotions. I fear anyone who is carrying a weapon on their person to act irrationally or from a set of morals that warrant , th

hem to.kill me. I am a conservative, i dont believe to solve the issue of high mortality rates that we ought be more lax on gun laws.

Sure. Difference is, be irresponsible with a gun and serious injury/death can occur. Be stupid with a stereo and someone could be annoyed. I'm also a gun owner and frequent shooter. But I think some rules should be changed. I don't believe private citizens should own fully automatic weapons. There is no need beyond wanting to blow **** up in your back yard. Wanting it isn't enough in my opinion. I want to power my house on my own nuclear reactor but I bet the government would object to that. I like explosions but I think the government would object if I had huge bombs laying around. The degree of irresponsibility in gun owners is higher than it should be. Don't take away my handguns and rifles, but increasing the regulation on obtaining a weapon is never a bad thing. I don't see how any responsible gun owner could ever be against tougher legislation on weapons.

Edit: I'd just like to tack on a few more thoughts now that I'm at a computer. Not that I'm calling you out, but I've noticed quite a few members saying derogatory things about Democrats. First of all, being a Democrat is not intrinsically linked to wanting the removal of guns. That's idiotic. I've stated before that I'm as liberal as they come on social issues and as such I don't really identify with either party. There are many issues that transcend party lines and I think this is one of them. That doesn't make me any less American; I just have a different opinion than some of you. It's not a black and white issue here. I don't believe firearms can ever be removed from America, it's a core tenant of our country. But having new regulations that ensure that the right people get access to firearms and others do not can be very beneficial. People on both sides of the argument need to compromise here.

I do agree with your bit about looking at the patterns of history. I wish I could say each individual of our local, state, and federal governments and all enforcement (local, state, and military) are just that, people. We find in ourselves congenial traits, and would not kill each other even if it came to that after all our protection and rights were taken away. But, it is sad the psychological phenomena "prisoners dilemma"/ "tragedy of the commons" reigns true in my ears as I read the rest of your point.

Sorry man :/I didn't mean to hate on passats...
Lol it's all right. I know plenty of douchey Passat owners. I just happen to march to a different drumbeat.

Future gun owner here and I only say future because I have to train my 5-year old on proper safety and handling first. I support you, Buck.
