GUN Enthusiasts, Come!!

Go with the SW40 round, whatever gun you chose. Not much larger than a 9mm, so your clip holds almost as many rounds, but the 40 has the knock-down power of a .357 magnum. Far superior to a 9mm. There's a reason the market has been flooded with 9mm's... everyone wants a SW40 these days, for good reason.

well i went with a 9mm for price of ammo reason and less recoil and shot placement matters more than caliber if you have a good SD round in the chamber and hit the target matters more than having a 45 and cant hit them

can any of you guys buy 9mm just decent plinking ammo anywhere??? I cant find it no where it sucks.
Also for a 9mm where u guys getting good SD ammo at like hst or speer gold dots or ranger
I haven't found cheap plinking stuff for weeks. It's all $15-16 per 50 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. Wallmart has been barren for over a month. A bulk internet order would save me $$, but i don't like to shell out $200 at a time.

I get gold dots from a gunstore, but they are way expensive at $25 per 20.

The recent election has driven up ammo prices due to speculation of upcoming legislation.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/word.gif.64b12e39f936af3b4fff38a1c0bd0244.gif but I don't see the point of hoarding FMJ range ammo. Maybe it's because i'm not a true enthusiast.

What do you guys think about the XDM 40 for a first handgun and used primarily for home/car defense? I like this look as well as the bitone color as well. Seems to be pretty accuarte and low failure to fire rate.

I have an XDm40 and love it. The #1 grip fits my hand great.

16+1 as a .40 and 19+1 as a 9mm.

PistolGear.com has a 9mm conversion kit for them also. That way you can leave it as a .40 for defense and hit the range w/ it as a 9mm. Much cheaper to shoot.

I HIGHLY recommend the XDm.

What the fock is wrong with you americans? why the fock do you all need to have a gun?

Its always funny to hear a Canadian or European tell us how they think the US is like the wild west where everyone carry's a gun around with them. Maybe that's why we have so few Canadian muggers.
The truth is, I probably dont see or get involved with a gun fight more than like once a week. And that's probably a bit high for the average American.

The legality of being allowed to carry a gun varies from state to state. Some states do not allow them to be carried in public, at all. Some have a 'concealed carry' permit, the idea being you can carry a weapon concealed (assuming you have the license) but not wear it openly so as to prevent it being used to intimidate people (such as in a holster, wild-west style). A few states allow weapons to be worn openly, iirc. Gun registration is also state by state, some states requiring no gun registration beyond sales tax for the purchase itself. Most states are not this lenient however.
..hold on, someone is shooting at me....
