grounding

i currentley have a jl 1000/1 @ 300/4 . I have a 165 amp alternator and a yellow top battery . Im still haveing dimming lights syndrom. i have up graded the big three and still no help. I was wondering if my amps ground might be the problem. The distro block is grounded to the frame not the chasis would this cause the dimming problem, seeing how the neg part of big three is grounded to battery?

it shouldn't because the battery is grounded to the frame as well---you may want to consider getting a slightly larger alt. maybe 200-220 amp?

It could also be a high resistance on the ground return. Is this in a GM or Ford vehicle? What guage of wiring has been used?

98 jeep wrangler and i used 0 awg

get a cap

a cap is a bandaid on a badd electrical system save up do the big 3 and a new battery. if that doesnt fix it go with a HO alt.
