so i was re-wiring my buddys system and finally got the **** bolt that was holding the ground wire down, and find out that there was no ring terminal on the end of the wire. The dude just stuck the bare wire right under the bolt

now what kind of problems could that of presented if any??

the guy who wired swears that that is the best way to do it:rolleyes:

if ALL of the srtands were holding good under the bolt then fine i guess.

most likely that connection would get warm/hot and burn up.

just use a ring terminal and sand the sopt down to bare metal.

Technically, as long as it was sanded down (which it wasn't) and all the strands were secure, it'd work. It's still best to use a ring/spade terminal though.

???it stabilizes a vehicles electrical voltage when your system is playing full tilt. duh? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif
Ohh, I thought you just ran a wire from Batt + to Batt - for that. I'll try it out.

lmao yeah positive to engine only way to go... seriously though it would work if it didn't have paint still on it. That guy must have been special needs to try to ground to paint.
