grounding to frame

In my install, I am going to ground both the battery and the amp to the frame to reduce the probabilty of ground loop.

What, if anything, do I protect the connections to the frame? I was thinking paint.

I don't want my connection to rust.

How about make the connection and put silicone over it. The connection will not be compromised and it will be protected. I did that to some grounds that went under the vehicle to the frame.

sounds like a plan...I didn't want anything to comprimise the connection. This will work.
