I got a:

12" 9500 MTX woofer

1 - 801D MTX amp

and i just got a stinget red cap battery for my trunk

i need some advice on how to wire all that up.

i got a 4 guage funning from the front battery to the rear that im gonna hook up to the rear battery and then run a 1' 0guage to the amp.

now for the ground ..

is it better to run the ground from the amp to the battery in the rear and then from the battery to the body? or run each seperatly?

you have it backwards, my friend.

Batt to batt should be 0/1 gauge. (Do this for BOTH POSITIVE and NEGATIVE!!! VERY IMPORTANT!!!)

THen rear batt to amp should be 4 gauge, if it's short. If it's long, then you need at least a 2gauge for safety measures. Make sure you put an inline fuse between the amp and the rear batt positive terminal (the fuse must be as close to the rear batt positive terminal as possible).

As for ground, make sure you use the same size gauge wire as the positive wire TO the rear batt.
