is it necessary to us fused distro block for ground wires as aposed to distro block with no fuses? also how long should grounds be max? i have it 2 4 gauge 2ft into distro and 1/0 2ft out to frame. is this to long of a ground? multiple amps

thanks

asked some on forum a while ago if i needed fused distro block for ground he told me if i didnt it would most likely catch on fire.

you wanna get that negative charge out of there as quick as possible and the longer the wire the more resistence there is too keep that negativity in there... or something like that.

whether your wires are 2ft or 8ft really isn't going to make much difference. The object is to keep it as short as reasonably possible. Chances are it's not going to effect anything, and almost certainly not to an audible degree, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to have 3 or 4 extra feet of wire in the current path if you don't need it.
