Ground wire

run it to the battery, and then run wire from that battery to the amp, thats how im hooking mine upp.
Ok. Just to confirm off the - of the batt. up front to the - of the battery in the back, then off of the battery to the amps. If I have two batts. in the back does it make a difference which one I run the neg to or do I use a jumper wire from - to - on each batt. the same way I did the +?

Thanks for the link. It showed me how to do my grounds for one amp and one battery, but what if I have two amps and two batteries? Do I ground my mid and high amp to the batteries instead of the chassis also? And do I jump from neg to neg and pos to pos to each batt. in the trunk? What is the right way to wire two batteries in the trunk?

Yeah, just go + to + and - to -. I'd run both power and ground to the batteries. then just connect the amps to one battery.
Ok, but do I ground my mid and high amp to the one of the batteries or to the chassis? My batteries are on the other side of the trunk from my mid and high amp and that would be a rather long ground if I was to ground it to the one of the batteries. Will it be fine if its grounded to the chassis?

you will be fine grounded to the chassis, just make sure you find a true ground and sand the paint away, you want to see less than .1 ohm's of resistance with the spoty you choose on your chassis to your positive terminal on your battery. (checking resistance with a DMM)

However grounding your amps to your battery is always better if you can do it because there is less resistance in a wire than the sheet metal the chassis is made out of, but if you have a good chassis ground it will not matter much.

since you have a frame vehicle...just drop a good solid 1/0 from each battery to a shared frame rail....make sure you have good solid conections
That's an interesting idea, i never had a clue something like that was possible, but it makes sense and seems like it would save a lot of wire, but i guess it's just like grounding the batteries to the chassis.
