Ground wire sparking...

I just changed my 18ga sub wires to 12ga.

And the ground came lose earlier right before school, so I had to do a makeshift thing to keep it down. I just tried tighetning the clip so it doesnt come loose, and putting electrical tape around it.

Now when I try grounding my amp to the same screw i used before, it sparks. and vice versa.

Can anyoen help me?

ya its gunna spark if powers going through it when u first put it on or take it off or if its lose, make sure its bolted down not just taped down, or ya its gunnna keep sparking. Make sure its bolted nice and tight to what your grounding it on make sure it can't jiggle or anything.

I've tried it not on purpose. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Blew the fuses.

It is a Dual 460w amp; a real cheapie, but it survived!

haha. it still works. Its come loose before, and it never sparked at me, so i was kinda startled...

And I sorta bit my lip the last time, and just ocnnected it after the huge spark.

It still works perfectly though.

It's screwed down pretty tightly, and the wire was taped to the chasses just in case anything in my truck wants to knock it out of place.. like what happend before. haha

And yeah, I double checked all the wiring, nothing was in the wrong spot.
