You can't get me
Hi

I recently install my new HU Kenwood excelon X792, everything was really easy cause i already have everything in place, it works wondeful.

But last night i was gonna set my gains, put the usb in with the test tones, and till this point everything was right, but when i turn up the volumen on the HU coming from nowhere a lot of noise start to sound, it was really loud.

First i solve the problem with the ground wire rca to chasis of HU.

But i want to know why this happen, i try everything else, it sounds only with car ON, if i disconect rcas from amp an power amps it doesnt sound, try different rca's and still there, try new gound on the HU and still there, check all wiring in the HU and test everything and still there.

Something i notice (dont know if its right) when my HU is off i can read on my DMM 12V hook it to the + terminal of amp and remote, that was a little weird to me.

If someone could point me good info about this, it will be really apreciated.

PS: my truck have never had this problem before.

if your stilll getting power at the amp from the remote and the deck is off disconnect the remote and see if you still get current on the remote in of the amp if so your amp is defective. but if you don't check the remote wire and see if there is still output if so the deck has probably went bad or you have a short somewhere.

Everything seens fine, as soon as i ground the rca's, but for my taste ground rca's are not the way it's meant to be.

They should sound nice just as is, as it has always be. But i might send the unit back.

Check the grounds on the amps. If they are near each other, use the same grounding spot. A poor ground on the amps may cause the amps to find ground thru the rcas, thus causing your noise issues. and the rem should only have voltage when the hu is on. you sure you got it to the blue rem wire of the hu?

Also I would suggest the front amp to be a weak link in your set up. Try just unplugging the rcas to that. If it goes away, then I would say its that amp causing issues.
