Atlast I'm done with my Big 3 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I had a question on the ground connection that goes from alt to chassis it is also refer to as engine block to chassis. Would I get a better ground connection if I do the engine block to the negative terminal of my front battery?

On the trunk Im running 2 amps and 1 battery. Is it safe to connect the negatives of my amps to the rear batts negative terminal? I'm also running negative wire from the front batt to the rear batt, since im doing this would I still need to ground my rear batt to the chassis?

You need both connections. One going from the negative of the battery to the engine block. The other going from the engine block to the chassis (body) of the vehicle.

Can i ground both of this in the same spot?

My batt to engine block already had a spot were to ground can i ground the other connection there too?

You can ground them in the same spot, but I would make the ground cables as short as possible. To do this it would be better to ground to a different spot. Most block to chassis grounds go from the back of the block, to the firewall.

As far as grounding yout amps, they can ground in the same spot, but to avoid any noise issues, keep the grounds as short as possible. This would mean grounding in different spots. It will be worth your time to make a second ground point for both applications.

Just avoid all the problems associated with trying to find a good chassis ground and grond the amps to the rear bat. Since the rear batt is also connected to the front batt on the (-) side, you'd effectively have grounded the amps to the front battery.

As far as alt/block grounding goes, any combination of connections from the battery, block and chassis will do the same thing. It doesn't matter if you wire the block to the batt and the block to the chassis; the block to the chassis and the chassis to the batt or the block to the batt and the chassis to the batt. Electrically they're all the same.

Ok, thanks. I wanted to make sure that it could be done like that.
