every application ive done with a roller like that ive had 0 failures with it falling. using a heat gun then the roller.

just figured id throw that out there.

since the roller portion seems like metal, the handle could serve as a heat gun with a controlled temp blowing directly onto the roller.

that would save you time as you can heat and press at the same time.

just a thought.

I use foil backed deadener, mostly Second Skins damplifier pro. I have had 0 failures with no heat gun and a standard wooden roller.

Thanks for the tip though. I would be afraid of tearing it up though.

Tennis ball that's kind of old and flat.

Heat is not necessary for any quality VE mat. The best ones don't even require a pre-cleaning.

Same here, though I used regualr damplifier. Even when driving in Arizona with temperatures at 115 degrees I didn't notice any slight peeling.

that tool doesn't look like it'll work well to roll out any air bubbles... might do well to add pressure, but also looks like it might tear the backing like the others said.

Have been fine using my hands to contour the mat and a wooden roller. Have yet to use a heat gun and have used many sound deadeners.
