great deal on IDMAX's?

just found 4 D4 12's for sale 2 hours away for $700, i would wire them to .5ohm on my vfl 200.1.

these are sq woofers but do they get pretty loud? how about 900rms per?

also site recommends 1.5-2.5 cubes @ 28, so 2 cubes per @ 28 hz or should i tune it a little higher?

i dunno someone who owns these tell me if they are what the sites say

u can find them cheaper then that...

yes they get decently loud

I would tune in the 32-34hz range

and yes they are one of the best sound drivers around

brand new basically, 1.5 hours play time

thats alot of cone area but im wondering if they would lack the spl, like would the bl's on same power own the idmax's? if the idmax's were even close with much better sound i would probably scoop em up

I have heard both BL and an ID Max, I would prefer the ID max overall. The two sound very different. The BL has a thick and heavy bass that's kind of smothered(imo). Where as the ID Max is a bit more thin and transient.

If you want the BL get the BL, if you want the Max get the Max. You decide. Having 4 of either will get you "loud" no matter what, in the rec box specs.

900 rms will not sweat them at all, I have been running almost 1500 rms to one of mine in one of our sq builds. Box is sealed though. For tunning pm me what vehicle you are going to put them in and I will recommend a box size and tunning for them for you. For $700 for 4 of them not bad I sell 4 of them brand new for $1125 shipped, so I would say you are getting a good deal.
