Grand Marquis Sub Help

If he wants to spend the money for the 8's I'd do that, just because it sounds like he wants to show it off and that's not something you see all that often. A friend just did an AQ 18 in an '04 Grand Marquis and he got 7 cubes just fine with both sub and port firing up. But the owner set up the amps and built the box so it's not all that loud.. only a 140.5 on 2k.

if he wants a showy system then chances are its not going to be wickedly loud like he wants it.

blactimus on here has 4 sa-8s in the back of a town car on an aq-2200 and it cant get through the 140 barrier. and its all in the trunk.

as was said your best bet to get truly loud will be the subs in the rear deck.

Well the thing is he isnt really trying to get some big db's. he just wants it to be loud. to drive around and be heard by ppl. i said 8's because he could fit more in the trunk for the same amount of space for like 2 15's. But it not limited to 8's. I dont think he wants it to be in the rear deck he was more set on building the box himself. But what would be louder going to 2 15's maybe 3 if we can make them fit or 6 8's?

This sounds like it would sound great but he wants to be able to pop the trunk and see the subs and amps and what not. any other ideas?
same idea still works. the subs are still enclosed under the rear deck but with plexi and a mirrored interior - so the magnets and baskets are visible when you open the trunk. seen it done often, and it always looks amazing.

Imo the 15s would get louder, but why not go with 4 12s if theres enough space.
Well he thought about 4 12's. but which 12's would be good without having an outrageously huge box?

This sounds like something he would definitely like. ill run it by him and see what he thinks. but how much would something like this cost to be done?
