i need some advise on a box for my GC.should i do subs up port back or subs port back?how much port area?i was thinkin 130in2.too much to little??i have room for 6-8ft3 with port area included.

cant really come up with a perfect box for a sub you never even said you have

I'd go with 2 cubes with an external snake port that ends right at the drivers crotch. This will work from any speaker brand sized from 12-21". Tuning should be around 10hz or so.

to twelve's 1500rms a piece.tuned low bout 32hz.would a wall behind the rear seat be better than rear firing box?then run the port to my intake for more HP,yeah that sounds good.but seriously...any help?

zj or wj ? also what kinda subs ? everyone i have talked to who have put systems into their zj's including myself has found that subs and port facing back sound best...and just cause im a nice guy here are the dementions you have to work with....

if its a zj....

42" wide

27" from the top of the seats to the hatch

19.5" from the floor to the top of the seats

25.5" from the floor to the top of the head rests....

i have a box in mine thats 3.4 cubes each for two 15" subs tuned to 34hzit goes from the back of my seats to a couple inches before the hatch and to the top of the rear seat...

the box i have now has 3 ft3 each sub seperate chambers 3x17x14 port.subs up ports back.
