Gotta Noob question?

I was looking at some subwoofers and I was wondering what the top mount depth and also what is the bottom mount depth. Please explain well if any feed back!

A subwoofer has a mounting flange around teh cone where you put the screws in to hold it down. That flange has some thickness, the depths are just different for when you mount the sub from the back of the baffle or the front.
