just to let you guys know, Jo-Anns (http://www.joann.com) is having a sale on vinyl (it doesnt' have an adhesive side but just use spray adhesive n it's fine) until may 10th.

It's like 40% off, and usu the vinyl costs $6.99, so do the math. It's the only place i actually found vinyl so dont be embarrased to go into that place =)

i wasnt....well...actually i was. lol. walked in with baggy jeans and a hatebreed hoodie. oh well. both times i went in the girls that cut it asked if it was going in a car. i guess they get a lot of people putting it in their cars...

anyways...what kind of spray adhesive? i used some 3m super 77 i think and its not sticking to good. actually, i used it on like a laminated wood for the floor of my trunk. i think thats why...it must not stick to shiney surfaces.

i don't know yet. I heard that for carpet the 3M contact cement, or contact spray worked the best, so i'll prob go to the depot today after class and check it out if it's cool in vinyl and wood. contact cement it's supposed to be very strong

just be careful. contact cement...you put it on BOTH sides, wait 20 minutes, and once you push them together you can not reposition it.

Dap weldwood contact cement ( red can) my child. Apply to both the vinyl and what ever your putting it on. Allow the surface to tack for 15-2 minutes depending upon the humidity and temp. Then go to it. Strongest stuff I have ever used. Great for vinyl and carpet. Even laminate if you want to go that route. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i went to the depot and i got 3M super 77 multi purpose spray adhesive (~$9.89). It's working so far (taking a break from covering my box w vinyl). yeah, you gotta wait like 30 secs or somethign with this, but 10-20 mins? damm dat's a long time.

i dont wanna wait that long, so i let it sit for like a min n then put them together, and it's working so far. the only problems are like if you only have a like 1/2 inch strip to glue to the box, but you find ways around it.

i just remembered how much of a pain all this can be.

ill be updating my website by this week hopefully so you guys can see how a box with vinyl looks.

I used 3m before. The only problems I ran into was it's inability to hold up in extreme heat. I.E. in your car in the summer time . //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
