Got the SSA Icon 10 hooked up!!!!

It finally came this morning from Mr. UPS himself. I got that and a new box today. I have a custom ported box with dual ports tuned to 30Hz. I hooked it all up to my rockford p1000bd and I couldn't get the rca cables to reach so i gave it a slight tug and ripped the cables. So I just took the rca's off my speaker amp and hooked it up that way, didn't know what to expect, it is in a ***** am. I turned the gains half way up and just stared at it for a while lol. Then I figured it was time, time to shut the hatch and sit down and play a bit with no door speakers. It sounds incredible, it is so so loud, shaking everything inside my car and shaking the mirrors outside my car and rattling stuff off the walls in my house and at the same time it was playing everything so crystal clear and fast and accurate. I love the sub, I got it warmed up and smelling for a good 15 minutes just playing everything I could think of.. then my ipod went dead. Let me know if you guys can think of songs that are usually more difficult for subs to play. I am getting new rca cables after work and also hooking up my type r in the ported box to see how they compare (if they do, not so sure they do though) I will have pictures up when I figure out how to set up the email on my new blackberry. If anyone knows how to do that help is always appreciated. All in all, I wouldn't go back and buy any other sub but this one honestly. I have had many subs but I don't recall of any of them hitting this hard and still sounding this clean, this sub was making my hair shake and my nose itch and was starting to make my ears tingle and the sub is brand new and only played for about 20 minutes. Sorry for the long review but I know not many people have these subs. They are absolutely awesome and I will be buying another one for the other vehicle I own. Any questions, just ask.. I will get pictures on there soon, I just have to figure out the blackberry. I love the sub, I got a new set of rca cables also so I can finally hear the component set with the woofer, I hope I can still hear the words. I need a set of CDT M6+'s for my mids also... One day anyways..

It is in the same general direction, one of SQ first with good power handling, decent excursion, flexible in both sealed and ported. The T/S are somewhat different showing that they will thrive in different installs on different power. i plan on trying it out as well. whenever i have time to sell my current subs. what is the real RMS on them? not the rated 900. can it take more? how much more?

so far all I have given it is about 800rms, it pounds real loud for just one ten. I am very impressed.

Interesting. How do these compare to a FI Q? I liked the sound of my FI when it was working, but gave up on the sub after 2 mechanical things happened to it. I may have to give this a try.
