memphis actually wins alot in db drags and the way they developed it i dont see it being a gimmic...not gonna say its the end all of end all but im sure it can hold its own

I heard from a memphis dealer one time that if as long as u send a very very very distortion free signal ( not literally distortion free but minimal distortion as possible) than u could send ungodly amounts of power to drivers that are built for abuse (example, the mojo ). I've also heard stories of ppl sending shit tons of power to mojo subs for burps with no probs. the fact of which they disigned a sub to handle power like that doesnt suprise me since mephis liek to do crazy stuff like that.

as for memphis.......i love them, owned 2 of thier amps and heard many setups with thier equipment and it think they are the GREAT for the money IMO, if u can getem cheap then they are a steal. sexy heat sink on the Mclass amps. and although the mojos dont have great SQ, I've seen a show car with 2 mojo15's and a 2000d mojo amp own everythign else there SPLwise.i was just impressed for the spl from 2 15's with only 2000w..sounded lie most 4 to 10 sub setups with 5Kw+ power that i've hever heard.......

i have to give thumbs up to memphis and this sub....even though rubbing my hands together to generate heat is probly more efficent than that sub, it'd still be pretty cool to see a sub take that much power......all for shits and giggles...

Im giving my quad 1 Mojo 15 two 2500d's each @ .5 ohm and its doing well still, I dont turn it up much but when I do it takes it. Bob Perillo had 36 either Mojo or MA 4000d amps on his 9 Mojo 15's and they took it... they can take the power, just make sure you know what you're doing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Ive seen, and heard the new m3 mojo's, and they are great subs. They are intended more for spl, but they do have a street bass eclosure, that sounds good for daily listening. I listened to 1 15 mojo with 2 kw on it, and it took it like a champ all day long, and left your ears hurting. Definately one of my favorites.

thats what it is though i talked to a few people this past weekend about them and the people that will be using them are not newbs at all . one was all set up with the 4kw memphis amps just waiting for the bigger subs (had the reg mojos in it for now)

This thread is funny. Everyone is concluding that the sub is going to be madly inefficient. Well it MIGHT be or it MIGHT NOT be.

The RE MT can take the same amount of power for burps I'm sure and everyone seems to love that sub. Sure it takes power to get it going, but not 32,000 RMS and those subs have been winning a lot of shows.

Just because a sub CAN take 32K for burps doesn't absolutely mean it must have 32k for burps or it's garbage.
